Kevin Costner has had an undoubtedly and remarkable presence in the movie, and now the TV industry, during his ongoing career.
Costner is currently the star of “Yellowstone” where he plays ranch patriarch John Dutton. Before that his leading roles included “Dances with Wolves,” “Field of Dreams,” “Bull Durham,” and “The Highwaymen.”
While he has mastered the role of the quiet hero or the solemn dad, Costner is a family man himself.

He is currently married to his wife, Christine Baumgartner, a model and handbag designer. The two got married on September 25, 2004. Now they live on his ranch (very John Dutton of him) in Apsen, Colorado. The two also have three children together. They are Grace, Cayden, and Hayes.

According to an interview with Parade from 2012, Costner says that a huge factor in the relationship is compassion and communication.
“Maybe it’s the ability to say you’re sorry. I know that sounds so simple. If you’re willing to tell somebody that you love them, are you also willing to say you’re sorry? You need to, even when you think you’re in the right,” Costner said.
Costner was married once before to Cindy Silva, his college girlfriend. They were married for 16 years and had three children before getting divorced in 1994. He also had a relationship with Bridget Rooney and the two had a son together.
Quarantine and More Family Time
In the past year, people have been spending a lot more time at home and with family, perhaps way more than before. For Kevin Costner, he says quarantine and the pandemic helped to further strengthen his relationship with his wife.
“Our partnership has really come into focus about what we do for each other and how we deal with our family. Our house is like a river: You’ve just got to get into the flow of it. And whatever you thought it was going to be, maybe it still can, but it’s going to have to work with what the day brings,” Costner said to People magazine in 2020.
He has gotten to spend more time with his kids, including cooking breakfast while his wife does the homeschooling. There is a new renewed sense of normalcy and comfort in his family. For Costner, that’s at least one positive that came from a difficult year for the world.
He has also released a new album in 2020 with his band, Modern West. The album is called “Tales From Yellowstone.” His family rarely appears on the red carpet or at premieres with him. However, they were present for the “Art of Racing in the Rain” premiere back in 2019.
