When he isn’t running the Dutton Ranch on Yellowstone, Kevin Costner might best be known for his incredible knack of putting out great sports movies.

The man has countless hits. The impressive streak started with Bull Durham and still goes on through his work in The Art of Racing in the Rain. In between, everything from Tin Cup to For the Love of the Game has proven there are few blockbuster actors that have the sports track record Costner does.

Fortunately for his fans, Yellowstone or otherwise, there is a treat of a double feature tonight. On the Paramount Network, a back-to-back airing of Field of Dreams and Draft Day will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

“Field of Dreams and Draft Day lovers— @paramountnet is playing these two movies back to back tonight starting at 7 ET!” Costner tweeted.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the two movies, without spoilers of course.

Yellowstone Star Kevin Costner Puts on a Masterclass in Field of Dreams

There may not be a more iconic movie about the spirit of baseball than Field of Dreams. The 1989 film was a critical and commercial success, and part of one of Costner’s golden eras that featured Bull Durham and Dances with Wolves.

He portrays Ray Kinsella in what can only be described as a emotional rollercoaster about family relationships, the love of baseball and redemption.

The film is a tour de force through some of baseball’s most historic moments and figures, but is a classic watch regardless of your passion for the sport. And, of course, there is plenty of moments where Costner’s acting shines brightly.

Costner in Draft Day

On the other hand, Draft Day is a bit more heavily focused on the sport its subjected on, which is football. Costner portrays Sonny Weaver Jr., who is the general manager of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

With the seventh overall pick of the NFL Draft, Weaver Jr. faces the dilemma of how to improve the team. Faced with influences and pressure from all sides, the film focuses heavily on the weight of decisions.

Using both issues in his job but also issues in his family life, Weaver Jr. navigates the extremely hectic day of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

While not revered like Field of Dreams, the Yellowstone star still delivers a performance consistent with his reputation. If you like football, you’ll love it, and if you like Kevin Costner, that’s probably still true.
