It’s no secret our team at Outsider enjoys a vice . . . or two. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Sometimes, we just need a good stogie and a neat glass of bourbon to cap our day. Who are we kidding? Oftentimes. Fortunately, Nashville boasts a stash of stogie stores, cigar bars, and lounges to keep us fired up.

Check out some of the Best Cigar Shops in Music City, and keep the party going with our favorite Patios, Meat & Three Restaurants, or Brunch Spots.

Red Phone Booth

Armed with an ample supply of bourbon and cigars, this 1920s-esque speakeasy covers more than 5,200-square-feet in downtown Nashville. You’ll need to secure an exclusive phone number from a member (or a concierge) and dial it from the restored antique red phone booth outside to gain entry. But once you do, there are more than 100 selections of cigars to choose from inside the walk-in humidor. Take a load off in an Italian wing-back leather sofa, order a Neapolitan-style pizza, and have a smoke. Gents will need a sports coat.

Casa de Montecristo

The massive 6,000-square-foot lounge in the Gulch neighborhood is a go-to relaxation haven for a smoke and a Preds game (or whatever sporting event is on TV). Huge big screens, craft beers, and good whiskey . . . not to mention an enormous walk-in humidor with hundreds of selections. Plus, you can get your live-music fix on Thursday nights without hitting Broadway. And, if you want to chill outside, Casa de Montecristo has the patio to do it.

Nashville Cigar

New to the world of cigars and pipes? The friendly—and knowledgeable—folks at Nashville Cigar in the Green Hills neighborhood are happy to help, without making you feel like a neophyte. If it’s the low-key, laid-back experience you seek, stop by the lounge, sip a beer, and smoke a stogie from their huge walk-in humidor. Or plug in your laptop and get a little work done while you enjoy a cigar. The folks at the original location Franklin Cigar in Franklin, Tenn., are just as affable.

Blend Bar

If you’ve been to Blend Bar With Davidoff Cigars in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, or Houston, you know what to expect from the Nashville location: an upscale feel without a hint of pretentiousness. The downtown lounge features top-notch service, elegant decor, and a fantastic variety of cigars in a comfortable setting. Don’t leave without grabbing a cocktail or coffee—or both. Try the espresso martini with your stogie and charcuterie board.

Cigar Especial

Looking for a casual SoBro (south of Broadway) setting to chat with a friend and enjoy a smoke? With its solid selection of both spirits and stogies, Cigar Especial is your place. The brick-walled lounge is full of comfy leather chairs and couches. And there’s a loft above the walk-in humidor for even more privacy in the old-school smoke shop.
