Few things in life go together better than country music and a nice tequila and George Strait has you covered.

The King of Country Music and his tequila-making company, Código 1530, unveiled their latest creation yesterday (Wednesday). The latest addition to the company’s tequila lineup is a special edition, double-barrel Rosa-Reposado. Much effort went into the creation of the special edition tequila and the final product is quite spectacular. The newest adult beverage has been aged in un-charred French Oak wine barrels for three months. The wait is worth it as George Strait’s latest tequila creation is smooth, sophisticated and highly enjoyable.

After the release of the new product, George Strait spoke on how the tequila all came together.

“I was curious to further age our popular Tequila Rosa-Blanco until it graduated into the Reposado category, without charring the barrels first as we normally would for our Reposado,” George Strait says. “The lack of charred barrel influence allows the agave to shine through. To complete this expression, it is finished in Spanish Sherry casks to add an unmatched sweetness. The flavor was too unique to not bottle it. If you enjoy our Tequila Rosa-Blanco, you will love this Rosa-Reposado, as its finish is even deeper and richer.”

The King of Country isn’t the only one happy with the new tequila. Código 1530 co-founder and Executive Chairman Ron Snyder praised his team’s efforts in creating a terrific tequila. He also dives deeper into the process that created their new product.

“Because Código 1530 still uses authentic, traditional practices to create our award-winning tequilas by aging in small batched barrels, we are able to play around with techniques and try new things,” he says. “To avoid turning our naturally light pink tequila brown from aging too long in the French Oak wine barrels, we had to experiment until the perfect timing and color was attained. Rested at approximately 3 months, then finished in Spanish Sherry casks, the new Rosa-Reposado expression was born, flaunting a unique color that is a slight golden brown with a hint of rosé pink.”

A 750 mL bottle of George Strait’s latest tequila creation will retail around $75 to $80. The “Check Yes or No” singer is certainly confident you love his newest adult bevarage.

“If it isn’t your favorite, you haven’t tried it,” he proudly proclaims on a promotional piece for the tequila.

George Strait’s country music career spans five decades and he doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Once of the top-selling artists in the entire music industry, the King of Country has sold more than 100 million albums across the world.
