Jeep Wrangler Willys Xtreme Recon Inspired by the Military

On Thursday (September 23rd), Jeep announced the 2022 Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon package. The package notably offers 35-inch tires straight from the factory and is an added $3,995. 

According to Jeep’s press release, the 2022 Wrangler Willy with the Xtreme Record package includes the all-terrain tires as well as 17in by 8in deadlock capable wheels; swing gate reinforcement; 4.56:1 axle ratio; 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks; and Anti-lock four-wheel-disc performance brakes.

The Jeep package is also fitted with a standard black grille; matte black “Jeep” badge; black “Trail Rated” badge;“4-Wheel Drive” swing gate decal; and “Willys” hood decal. 

While sharing more details about the Jeep Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon Package, Jim Morrison, Vice President of Jeep Brand North America, stated, “Named after the original Jeep utility vehicle, the Willys holds special meaning to the Jeep brand. And we’re excited to enhance the new Wrangler Willys with 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires.”

Customers can order the Xtreme Recon Package on the Jeep Wrangler Willys 3.6L eTorque starting in October. The  U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $39,435. 

Jeep Set to Reveal All-New 2022 Grand Cherokee This Week 

Following the news about the Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon package, Jeep announced it will reveal details about the all-new 2022 Grand Cherokee this week. 

The car brand issued a press release stating that the fifth-generation Jeep rand Cherokee “builds on a legacy” as the most awarded SUV ever. The new Grand Cherokee will offer 4xe plug-in hybrid technology.

Christian Meunier, the car brand’s CEO, and Jim Morrison, vice president of north america, will be hosting the exciting reveal on Wednesday (September 29th).

The 2022 Grand Cherokee reveal comes just weeks after Mopar announced accessories for the 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Morrison stated that the car brand continues to “shatter expectations” of the full-size SUV segment with the Grand Cherokee L.

“Now with a third row of seating for the first time, the newest iteration of the most awarded SUV ever is designed and engineered to deliver an unmatched combination of more legendary 4×4 capability (as well as) superior on-road refinement, premium styling and craftsmanship inside and out.”

The Mopar accessories available or the 2021 Grand Cherokee L are 21-inch wheels; side steps; roof mount cargo basket; roof-rack cross bars; cargo-basket net; Watersport carrier; bike carrier; and more. 

The Wrangler 4xe has been recently named to Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsions Systems. The car brand revealed that this is the first year of Wrangler’s eligibility. The vehicle notably provides 21 miles of zero-emission all-electric range. However, EPA reportedly rates the car at 49 miles per gallon-equivalent (MPGe).

 Meanwhile, the Wrangler 4xe became the number 1 selling PHEV in the U.S. for the second quarter of 2021.
