Jim Beam Marks Major Milestone, Filling 17-Millionth Barrel Since Prohibition

American bourbon whiskey brand Jim Beam has recently celebrated it has filled its 17 millionth barrel of bourbon since the U.S. Prohibition era. The company also filled one million barrels in just 18 months. 

The beverage brand revealed that the milestone holds a special significance against the latest global issues. This includes related disruptions and the implementation of new protocols to protect the health and wellbeing of the brand’s employees. 

Speaking about the milestone, Freddie Noe, 8th Generation Beam Distiller, stated, “Throughout this pandemic, our incredible teams kept coming in to work every day, to make the bourbon that consumers around the world are going to enjoy in about four years.”

Noe also said the Jim Beam teams have adjusted to new workplace protocols. These protocols have kept them, their colleagues, and operations safe. “And they did this while caring for loved ones at home.”

Jim Beam stated the milestone barrel has been filled, sealed, and signed by Noe, his father Fred Noe, and local leaders at the company’s someplace in Clermont, Kentucky. Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear, celebrates the beverage brand’s milestone by stating, “Kentucky is bourbon’s birthplace, and it remains an important part of our heritage and economy, providing more than 20,000 quality jobs in the commonwealth.”

He then goes on to add, “Jim Beam’s 17th million bourbon barrel shows that our spirits industry continues to grow at an incredible rate.”

Jim Beam Launches Orange Bourbon Product Earlier This Summer

Earlier this summer, Jim Beam announced its newest product in the bourbon aisle, Jim Beam Orange. According to the beverage brand, the product combines a “juicy, bright orange flavor” with Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. 

Jim Beam also declared that the new product gives a “light and bright twist” to simple summer cocktails. Which includes the brand’s Orange Highball. Speaking about the product, Malini Patel, Managing Director for the James B Beam Distilling Co., stated. “Our flavored offering not only invites new consumers into the whiskey category. But also delights bourbon loves with new, interesting taste profiles.”

Patel then shared that if a consumer loves bourbon and is looking for summer refreshment. Or they are new to bourbon and are exploring different tastes and ways to drink it, the product is perfect for them. Jim Beam Orange has a 32.5 percent ABV and is now available at select retailers nationwide. 

Jim Beam Teams Up With Local Beam Suntory Teams to Create Hand Sanitizers 

Along with the latest barrel news, Jim Beam announced it has teamed up with local Beam Suntory teams to create hand sanitizers. The company has created more than 40,000 gallons, which is equivalent to 50 million pairs of hands.

The sanitizer has been donated to first responders, healthcare workers, municipalities, and organizations in the Clermont community.
