According to a recent news report, the estate of the deceased star of “Alaskan Bush People” is being sued for $500,000.

On Tuesday (May 4), The Sun reported that a doctor from Tennessee is suing Billy Brown’s estate. The doctor is alleging that the patriarch did not pay him the profits he said he was due. These profits were the result of book sales and the popular show.

That patriarch is Billy Brown. He passed away in February 2021 at the age of 68. The cause of death was a seizure.

The doctor suing Billy Brown’s estate is Robert Maughon. He reportedly filed suit for breach of contract against the Brown’s Alaskan Wilderness Family Productions on April 27. Maughon claims in the suit that he and Brown signed a contract on Jan. 6, 2009.

This contract included a $20,000 investment by the doctor. It also allegedly included an agreement that the “Alaskan Bush People” star would give Maughon 10 percent of profits. Also, the contract was established for 10 years from that January 2009 date.

Another contract between Billy Brown and Maughon was also reportedly signed on Jan. 25, 2009. As part of this contract, the doctor invested another $10,000. This contract was supposed to be for a “lifetime.”

According to court documents, Brown was supposed to pay Maughon 10 percent of profits. These profits were described as “the gross income of Alaska Wilderness Family Productions from the creative works of Billy Bryan Brown, specifically including books, movies, television and documentaries.”

Tennessee Doctor Seeking $500K From ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Patriarch’s Estate

Tennessee doctor Robert Maughon wants $500,000 from the estate of “Alaskan Bush People” star Billy Brown. Also, he wants to see the case go to trial. Maughon has also claimed that Billy Brown made $500,000 for each episode of “Alaskan Bush People” during its latest season.

The doctor has also provided contracts to the court. According to The Sun, these appear to have Billy Brown’s signature on them. They also reportedly appear to have been notarized.

Robert Maughon has also filed a creditor’s claim against the late “Alaskan Bush People” star’s estate.

Since the death of Billy Brown, it is his wife Amy who has been put in charge of his estate. Amy is 57 years old. According to The Sun, Amy has said that Billy did not leave a will. She has also claimed that his estate is valued at $439,000. This amount reportedly included $415,000 in the property he owned. There are four pieces of land included in the estate. However, $27,000 in medical bills lowers the reported worth of the estate to $417,000.

Ami Brown and her representatives have not responded to the doctor’s lawsuit.
