It seems like Alex Rodriguez has left his “Dad bod” in the past— much like his romantic relationship with Jennifer Lopez. On Wednesday, the freshly single 45-year-old showed off his physique in a before-and-after shot posted to his Instagram. The post comes one week after he and Lopez confirmed their break up.
“Left the Dad-bod in 2020,” he captioned the post, showing a side-by-side pic of himself from December 2020 and the other from April 2020. He added: “Anyone else determined to stick with their fitness goals this year? I’ve been consistent with my workouts and finally put down the chips. What food is your weakness?”
While we’re not sure if the post captured the attention of his former fiancee, we do know that she has not left a comment on her ex’s fitness transformation. The retired baseball player’s post has quickly received more than 55,000 likes, with comments overwhelmingly referencing his new relationship status.
After four years and an engagement, he and Lopez officially announced their breakup on April 15. The announcement came one month after they initially denied the breakup rumors.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.” They added, “We wish the best for each other and one another’s children,” the former couple said in a joint statement. “Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

As for J-Lo, she was photographed during her first public outing since her split from Rodriguez. Photographers saw her out and about on Saturday in Los Angeles, Calif.
Hours before the sighting, the former flames were seen having dinner at the swanky Hotel Bel-Air — the same location of their first date in 2017. In the wake of the breakup, the two appear to be on amicable terms. Lopez recently wrote a sweet message for Rodriguez’s daughter Ella on her birthday. Rodriguez also shared a birthday tribute for Ella that included several snaps of J-Lo.
