California Mansion Has A-4 Skyhawk Fighter Jet Parked Above the Patio

A mansion in Villa Park, California is surely the talk of the town. The mansion boasts a real A-4 Skyhawk Fighter Jet hanging over the patio.

If you want to see the mansion for yourself, real estate websites like Realtor.com and Zillow will do you no good. The home is technically unfinished, so on real estate websites, it shows up as an empty plot of land.

The War Zone went out to get a better look at the jet. The mansion, too, of course. The patio that the jet is currently hanging over looks like an atrium, which is evident in pictures The War Zone captured.

“The home, which is nearing completion, looks ‘hangar inspired’ and sits atop a bluff among an impressive gaggle of high-priced homes. The A-4 is emblazoned in what appear to be VA-212 markings and is ‘flying’ at a dramatic downward angle that is framed-in perfectly by the structure,” The War Zone said.

Hanging the Fighter Jet over the patio was a work of dedication. The jet was reportedly bought in Arizona and then shipped to California. There, it was disassembled and reassembled – in the mansion’s living room, no less. The steps we take to fit literal planes into our houses, right?

Who Wants A Mansion (and a Jet) for Christmas?

The mansion is expected to be finished by Christmas. The construction company building the mansion, Shear Construction, said that everything had to be carefully planned for the jet. After the house is finished, the jet will be hanging over the infinity pool. According to the general contractor, the owner of the house wanted the jet as a conversation piece. Without a doubt, that’s exactly what they’ll get.

The home is unique, to say the least. California mansions are known for their quirky extravagance, but can you imagine sitting on a patio while an entire jet hangs above you? Let alone swim in a pool with it looming overhead.

F-16 Fighter Jet Sparks Its Own Conversation

Back in September of this year, an F-16 Fighter Jet escorted a small plane out of a restricted area in New York City. The airspace was restricted because of the United Nations General Assembly meeting. After being escorted out by the jet, the small plane landed safely about a half-hour later.

The jet caused a lot of commotion on the ground. Many car alarms went off on the streets below. Citizens who saw the F-16 were startled. Those curious about the plane took to Twitter. People were quick to video the F-16 flying around the iconic NYC skyline. People also commented on how low the plane was flying, and how loud it was. One tweet even compared it to “breaking the sound barrier.”
