Chick-Fil-A Removing Two Beloved Items From Menu

by Keeli Parkey

The popular Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain plans to remove two beloved items from its menu in the coming weeks. Fans of the chain’s chicken nuggets and sandwiches shouldn’t fret, though. The items the restaurant is cutting from its menu don’t include any of its famous chicken.

According to a report by Fox News, Chick-Fil-A plans to remove the decaf THRIVE farmer’s coffee. The Sunflower Multigrain Bagel is the other item getting cut from menus across the country.

April 26 is the expected date for when these menu changes will be official at Chick-Fil-A. The changes are also part of an effort by the restaurant chain’s menu overhaul. They are also being made to better serve the restaurant’s customers, according to the article.

“Later this spring, we will remove two items from the national menu, the bagel and decaf hot coffee, as well as consolidate several of our size offerings,” a spokesperson for Chick-Fil-A reportedly said.

“Streamlining our menu will allow for us to continue providing our customers the quality food and service they’ve come to expect, as well as make room for new future menu items,” the spokesperson added.

Chick-Fil-A Plans to Make Other Changes to Menu

Customers at Chick-Fil-A should also expect other changes to the restaurant’s menu this spring. Fox News cited a recent report from Business Insider in regards to changes to the kids’ nugget meal. According to the reports, the kids’ meals now come in four- and six-pieces. The company plans to change the kids’ nugget meal into five-piece size only.

The restaurant chain is also planning to make the available sizes of milkshakes, ice cream cones, and coffee smaller, according to the reports.

The expected changes at Chick-Fil-A tested at the chain’s restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Arizona. These test runs began in January, according to Fox News. There were other items removed from the restaurant’s menu at these test locations. The removed items included the side salad, Grilled Cool Wrap, and original Chick-n-Strips. Whether these items will be removed from the restaurant’s menu is yet to be seen. But, fans of those items might want to be prepared just in case.

“Why so much change? Our goal is to serve quality food as efficiently as possible,” Chick-fil-A reportedly said in a January statement. “For us to continue providing the food and service you know and love, we are testing this modified menu to see if it improves your experience in our restaurants.”

Employee Gives Car to Co-Worker Who Rode a Bicycle to Work

Earlier this month, a Chick-Fil-A employee in Wisconsin became possibly the best co-worker in history. According to reports, 17-year-old Haley Bridges won a raffle hosted by her chain and won a free car.

Prior to the drawing, she said she was going to give the car to co-worker Hokule’a Taniguchi if she won. When Bridges did, in fact, with the car, she lived up to her promise and gave the car to Taniguchi.

“I literally screeched, like I stood up, and I ran over to her, and I gave her like the biggest hug!” Taniguchi said about the gift. “I really just started crying, because I was so happy and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! I can’t believe this is real!’”
