NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer is retiring, and DEKALB Asgrow found a way to wish him well on his journey.

The agricultural company tweeted a video saying, “Congrats on a great NASCAR career, Clint,” and looking back over Bowyer’s career. Then they captioned it, “A tribute befitting the coolest guy in racing, from the DEKALB family and the entire farming community. Never slow down, @ClintBowyer.”

Bowyer Cares About Farmers

Now Bowyer is thanking farmers everywhere on Twitter.

Bowyer grew up in Kansas and participated in an initiative to help farmers this summer, the Salina Journal reported. The initiative was part of a campaign by Anheuser-Busch to benefit Farm Rescue.

“They’re the backbone of our country,” Bowyer said about farmers this June. “Without them putting food on our tables, we’re dead in the water, so (I’m) very proud of the initiative and more importantly, having it on my car and representing the initiative is really, really cool. I mean it’s just a perfect case scenario to go out and have such an awesome product and represent Busch beer, but then represent farmers.”

A Successful Career

Bowyer’s retirement caps a 16-season career in the NASCAR Cup Series. In fact, according to CBS Sports, Bowyer has won races driving cars from all three NASCAR manufacturers: Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota.

Moreover, he made the playoffs the past three seasons. And he has racked up a total of 10 Cup wins in his career, CBS reported. This season, he placed 11th in a 12-driver field.

“During my career I’ve had the opportunity and honor of representing some of the biggest and best companies in the world,” Bowyer said in a statement posted to his Twitter account announcing his retirement. He listed DEKALB among those companies. “I am lucky to have the opportunity to be part of the NASCAR Family, the best racing series on the planet. For me, the greatest part of it all is the drivers.”

Meanwhile, Bowyer plans to join Fox Sports next year as an analyst. He has contributed to the Fox Sports Xfinity Series in recent years.
