Country music is back. Each passing day brings with it the announcement of new summer tours and lively outdoor concerts.

After more than a year of canceled gigs—and virtual performances in the stead—artists are beginning to hit the road in force. In short, we couldn’t be happier.

Check out our list of 5 Outdoor Country Concerts to Catch in May.

1. Lucero: Red Rocks Amphitheatre – May 16

Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, is simply the best open-air venue in the country. So, catching a concert there should be on everyone’s bucket list. You can begin your Red Rocks adventure—or continue it—with Lucero on May 16. The Memphis band brings the country funk for a soulful good time.

2. Tracy Lawrence: Riverside Amphitheater – May 22

Tracy Lawrence will help christen the new Riverside Amphitheater in Jefferson City, Missouri, on May 22. Tracy’s catalog of classic hits is sure to keep the 3,000-person crowd spinning like a “Texas Tornado.” Moreover, Clay Walker will be joining Tracy at the show. “If I Could Make a Living” and “Time Marches On” in one night? 3. Margo Price: The Caverns – May 28

The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee, is billed as the Greatest Show (Under) Earth. And for good reason. The underground music venue is both acoustically and visually stunning. While the shows have bubbled up to the Above Ground Amphitheater for the time being, it’s still the perfect opportunity to catch Miss Margo—and her Midwest mojo—in a pastoral setting.

4. Billy Strings: Bonnaroo – May 28

Billy Strings will be pickin’ at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee, on May 28. The bluegrass guitarist more than lives up to his “Strings” nickname with his electrifying performances. In addition, Bonnaroo’s new Concerts on the Farm series will feature Jason Aldean (May 14 & 15), Jon Pardi (May 29), and more.

5. Ray Wylie Hubbard: Backyard Amphitheater – May 29

Ray Wylie Hubbard, 74, is a national treasure. Subsequently, treat him as such. The gritty troubadour is taking his talents to the Backyard Amphitheater in Fredericksburg, Texas, on May 29. In other words, catching Ray Wylie in concert with a side of Chris Knight is an ideal night in the heart of beautiful Texas Hill Country.
