The 2021 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards were not the resounding success Luke Combs probably hoped for. However, the young country music star still “had a great time” at the event.

The “Beautiful Crazy” singer shared his thoughts about the awards show – and not coming away with an award – via Twitter on Monday (April 19). The ACM Awards were held the previous day in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Had a great time at the @ACMawards last night. 0 for 3 but we’ll get ‘em next time. Still have the best fans in the world and got to spend the whole day with this beauty and some damn good friends so it was a win in my book,” Luke Combs shared along with a photo of him and his wife, Nicole.

Country Star Also Shares Message of Appreciation on Social Media

Luke Combs also added another message to his tweet on Monday. In this message, he shared his appreciation for those who supported him during the event. He also shared some details that his fans should be very happy to read.

“Thanks to my wife, my team, my family, and most importantly you, the fans, for all that you do for me. Album 3 here we come. Live shows here we come. See y’all real soon,” Combs also tweeted.

Luke Combs was nominated for three awards at the 2021 ACM Awards. According to CBSNews.com, those awards were Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Music Event of the Year for his work with Eric Church on “Does To Me.” And, as he said in his tweet, he did not win any of these awards.

Winning Entertainer of the Year was Luke Bryan. Thomas Rhett was chosen as the Male Artist of the Year. And, Carly Pearce and Lee Brice won the award for Music Event of the Year.

Fans Share Messages of Support With Combs

While he didn’t walk away with any hardware at the ACM Awards on April 18, Luke Combs is still a winner to his fans. And, some of them decided to share that message with him in response to his tweet on Monday.

“Definitely robbed in my opinion but there’s always next year and the year after that. One of my faves was passed over for a a long time before rightfully winning that coveted title of Male Artist of the Year! When he won I bawled like a baby. I’ll do the same when you win,” one fan shared.

“You definitely deserved to win all 3 of those awards! You will always be #1 in my book. Your performance was perfect and you & your beautiful wife Nicole looked amazing!! Was the highlight of the show for sure. We all love you guys and WE WILL get em next time,” another posted.
