Alan Jackson Delights His Fans with Meme

Jackson’s fans quickly jumped into his replies with snappy comebacks and GIFs of their own. Some echoed his sentiments, while others tried to guess the location where the picture was taken.

“Don’t let anyone tell me different with that look!” one Twitter user chimed in.

“It’s always 5 in Margaritaville I have heard somewhere,” another fan posted, including a Jimmy Buffett GIF.

“I’m not much for margaritas, but I’ll do some tequila shots,” quipped yet another fan.

Saturday’s Concert in Green Bay Canceled

Meanwhile, Alan Jackson was scheduled to perform at the Resch Complex in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 18. The tour stop was canceled several days before the show.

However, the Resch Complex said no reason was offered for the cancellation, WBAY reports.

Fortunately for Jackson fans in Wisconsin, ticket purchases will be refunded automatically within 30 business days.

This marks the second time a Jackson concert in Green Bay was moved or canceled. Jackson had also planned to perform at that venue in August of 2020. But due to the pandemic, the concert was rescheduled.

Jackson Collaborated with His Daughter on New Song

In other news, Jackson has a new song out. Titled “Racing the Dark,” it’s co-written with his daughter Mattie Jackson Selecman. The song is available as a download that accompanies pre-orders of Jackson’s daughter’s new book, “Lemons on Friday.”

What’s more, the song is the first collaboration between Jackson and Selecman. But Jackson has written multiple songs for her and her sisters, including “You’ll Always Be My Baby” and “I Do.” Selecman and her sisters were also involved in such hits as “Drive (for Daddy Gene),” “Remember When” and “Job Description.”

Jackson’s latest album, Where Have You Gone, released this past May, rose to the top of Billboard’s country albums chart. And Jackson’s fans will no doubt be thrilled to hear new music from the country star so soon after his last album’s release.
