Blake Shelton has won the American Music Award “Best Country Album” for his work on “Fully Loaded: God’s Country.” As this year’s awards have wrapped up, take a look at Blake Shelton winning a big award.

In true Blake Shelton fashion, he credited his fans for making this award possible. With no braggadocio, he humbly tells his fans how much he appreciates their support.

In a Twitter post on Sunday (Nov. 22), he shared with his fans who didn’t watch the AMA’s that he won a notable award.

Shelton has been having an amazing month. First, he got engaged to Gwen Stefani in late October. Then, he won ACM’s “Single of the Year” with “God’s Country.” He is in the midst of a successful “The Voice” season. And finally, he won the fan voting award for favorite country album of the year at the AMA’s.

Ecstatically, he thanks his fans with his caption.

“HELL YEAH! Thank y’all for voting and showing so much support to this album… y’all made this happen and it means the world!!! Love y’all!”

Shelton Fan Votes

Winning a fan favorite award is no small deal and Shelton is clearly very excited to have been given this honor.

The American Music Awards likes to call themselves “the world’s largest fan-voted award show,” and consequently, fans vote on every award available. Each fan gets to cast their ballots to decide the nominees. Billboard Magazine and Billboard.com each host the voting, but more importantly, use their data on their mediums to help decide the winners.

So, all of the fans’ purchases, streams, radio plays, social media interaction, and touring help determine the winners. People are allowed to vote 30 times per day on their favorite artists. All in all, Shelton won this award because of his fans.

Indeed it is a huge honor to win a fan choice award, Shelton, just like his newest song, seems to be happy anywhere.

In conclusion, congratulations to Blake Shelton on Favorite Country Album.
