Country music superstar Luke Bryan made quite the fashion statement during the American Idol finale on Monday.
Bryan wore a striking gold-colored sports coat that looks like it came straight from the playbook of Elvis Pressley. While he may or may not have been channeling The King of Rock and Roll, he certainly stood out with his unique wardrobe choice. On his social media pages, Luke Bryan shares a few photos and a video of his golden jacket as he prepares for the finale. It is safe to say that his enormous fan base thinks the jacket totally works for him.
“The time has come to crown our next American Idol!” he says in an Instagram post. “Get your votes ready because were are live coast to coast in 10 minutes! Voting starts at the top of the show and closes after the last performance. Make them count!”
Included in the cluster of social media images is a video of Luke Bryan getting ready to take the American Idol stage. It is clear that he is excited for the evening events and the crowning of a brand new American Idol winner.
“Alright guys, the American Idol finale is about to start,” Luke Bryan says while strolling into the production area. “Make sure you vote for the person you want to win.”
Luke Bryan Congratulates American Idol Winner
This season of American Idol has seen intense competition from the get-go. The long-running talent show is still a fan favorite among music lovers and still pulls respectable television ratings. Once the smoke cleared, it was country music singer Chayce Beckham who came out the 2021 American Idol winner.
Luke Bryan once again took to social media after the winner announcement to personally congratulate Beckham. He also posts a hilarious selfie of himself and Bishop as they yak it up after the finale’s close.
“Congrats to Chayce Beckham,” Luke Bryan writes in the post’s caption. “Well deserved buddy! It’s been so awesome to watch you learn and grow. I Can’t wait to see where the next chapter in this journey takes you.”
Beckham, 24, has been a fan favorite throughout the competition with his stunning vocals and personal stories. A heavy machine operator by trade, Beckham won over the audience with his triumph over alcoholism and addiction.
