Jason Aldean Reveals the ‘Coolest Thing Right Now’ at His Live Concerts

Like all performers, Jason Aldean’s tour plans suffered due to the Covid-19 virus that affected the world. After almost a year and a half of not touring in front of live crowds, the singer is thrilled to be on stage again.

Furthermore, the country music A-lister shared his relief and frustration about the virus at a recent concert.

While his comments are sure to cause some controversy, Aldean made it clear he doesn’t care.

“I gotta be honest, my favorite thing about coming back, it’s been 17 months since me and the guys were on tour last, alright?” Aldean said while on stage during his New York concert.

“This is our first weekend back and who knows what’s going to happen next week so, sh*t we might play all night tonight, I don’t know ’cause I don’t if they’re going to let us play next week.”

The singer continued:

But, you know the coolest thing about all this, the coolest thing to me right now… is that I’m looking out, seeing all you guys, and I don’t see one f***ing mask. I’ve had just about enough of that sh*t. ”

The crowd responded with a resounding “USA! USA!” in true patriotic fashion.

Other performers have considered altering their tour plans amid rising Covid cases. Garth Brooks and Lynyrd Skynyrd are among musicians who postponed at least one show due to concerns about the pandemic.

While Jason Aldean understands this could affect his own tour, the singer said he is going to enjoy every moment he has on the stage.

Jason Aldean Releases New Single with Carrie Underwood

For the country music star who’s known for his fun, upbeat hits that celebrate the party life, Aldean recently debuted a duet with country sweetheart Carrie Underwood.

The tune is a love song which hit the charts at number two when it was released this summer.

“(‘If I Didn’t Love You‘ is) a song about getting over a relationship and sort of knowing what you need to do in your head, but it’s really kind of hard to do that in the heart,” Jason Aldean said. “It’s one of those love song, breakup song kind of things.”

Aldean said when he heard the song, he knew he wanted to share it with Carrie Underwood and hoped she’d be on board. After laying down his own vocals on the track, Underwood agreed to record the song.

“Luckily she loved the song and it was kind of like a rocket from there. She did her thing like only Carrie can…and I don’t know how, but she made it sound even better than what we expected. It’s a really special song to start this album,” Aldean said.
