Forget elf on the shelf. Who needs one of Santa’s little helpers when you can have Willie Nelson instead? Billy Ray Cyrus shares a hilarious photo of a miniature Nelson acting as his Christmas decoration.

On Twitter, Cyrus showed a portrait of himself gazing off into the horizon. Perched on Cyrus’ shoulder is a photoshopped miniature version of the red-headed stranger. Nelson beat both the angel and devil to Cyrus’ arm, acting like a miniature Jiminy Cricket.

On Twitter, Cyrus wrote, “You’ve heard of Elf on the Shelf, but how about Willie-on-Billy?! Too fun, had to join @ReeseW@MarkRuffalo@GarcelleB and more! @WillieNelson.”

Cyrus is actually participating in a popular holiday fad that has taken off among celebrities. On Instagram, people have been posting miniature versions of celebrities on their shoulders. But their names have to rhyme together like a demented version of Dr. Seuss. So in this case, Billy and Willie. Actor Mark Ruffalo also participated by posting a miniature version of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark on his shoulder. Additionally, Reese Witherspoon photoshopped the cast of “Grease.”

Billy Ray Cyrus Recently Released a New EP

When he’s not posting hilarious holiday photos, Cyrus has been busy working on new music. The country singer got his groove back after a Grammy win earlier this year for an “Old Town Road” remix. Since then, Cyrus has dropped to EPs, the most recent one coming out in early November.

The Singin’ Hill Sessions – Mojave” features five new songs by Cyrus that are sure to entertain the king of the mullet’s fans. It also features a song that people may be familiar with in a different form. Cyrus performed a cover of “Mama Said Knock You Out” by LL Cool J.
