Blake Shelton Drops Hilarious Throwback Photo of ‘Last Year’s Christmas Shenanigans’

On Christmas Eve, country star Blake Shelton posted a hilarious photo from last year’s holiday family gathering with his other half – Gwen Stefani.

During Christmas 2019, Shelton and his pop star girlfriend spent time with Stefani’s side of the family. Shelton shared a Throwback Thursday photo of him spending time with his then girlfriend’s family. Things have gone well since, and the happy couple are currently engaged.

It looks like Shelton had a good time with Stefani’s family last year, as everyone wore a festive onesie. The throwback photo included 17 people in amusing holiday outfits. 15 of them – including Shelton and Stefani – wore Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer onesies. Stefani’s parents opted for Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus outfits instead. In addition, the family made sure to include two family pets who are wearing Rudolph costumes, as well.

“#TBT to last year’s Christmas shenanigans!” Shelton captioned his post on his official Twitter page.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s New Christmas Tradition

Like many people around the holidays, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani love to watch Hallmark holiday movies together. In fact, Stefani said the couple bonded over their mutual love for the channel’s famous films.

The hosts of Hallmark’s Home & Family asked the singer about the couple’s love for Hallmark movies. They also asked if she had considered acting in one herself.

“That is so weird that you asked me that,” Stefani admitted. “Because we started watching [the movies] last week when we were doing our Thanksgiving. That’s one thing we’ve bonded over is watching Hallmark movies.”

It would be a natural transition for the star considering Shelton has executive produced three previous Hallmark movies. The three holiday films include “Time For You To Come Home for Christmas,” “Time For Me To Come Home for Christmas,” and “Time For Us To Come Home for Christmas.” Stefani says she might consider starring in a future movie when she’s older, but for now, she’ll stick to her new Christmas tradition of watching the films from home with Shelton.

“I said to him, we should do this, we should do it when we’re like a grandma and grandpa,” Stefani said of acting in a Hallmark movie. “Wouldn’t that be so cool to come back and be in a Hallmark movie?”
