It may not be peanut butter jelly time, but this may be even better. Blake Shelton recently shared a photo of the Arizona Cardinals “shrine” he was featured in.
Blake Shelton is a dedicated football fan, but his team isn’t the Tennessee Titans, the Atlanta Falcons, or the New Orlean Saints. You need to look a little more West.
The country artist isn’t afraid to show his Cardinals pride. In a social media post from last night, Shelton called out Good Morning Football, stating it’s “Keim Time.”
The saying comes from Steve Keim, the Arizona Cardinals general manager, and friend of Blake Shelton’s.
The ‘Shrine’ of goodies includes cutouts of JJ Watt and Blake Shelton, red roses with cardinals bird in them, and plenty of cookies that say “Bird Gang,” “Arizona Cardinals,” and players jerseys.
Hey, Blake. Please feel free to send some of the cookies our way. Although I’m not a Cardinal (NFL) fan, I’ll happily eat their baked goods.
“Hey, @gmfb… Steve Keim just sent me this. His friend made it for him for this big day. Notice I’m in the shrine! We DID collaborate on Kyler and JJ but tonight, prepare to have your minds blown… it’s #keimtime.”
Blake Shelton’s Love for Oklahoma
Blake Shelton isn’t shy about his affection for Steve Keim. Shelton posted two photos of him kissing Keim on the cheek in 2019.
The love comes after the country artist threatened the general manager if he didn’t select Oklahoma Sooner quarterback Kyler Murry in the 2019 draft.
Being an Oklahoma native and Sooners fan, Shelton desperately hoped his two loves would combine for an NFL power duo. They did, but only had a record of 8-8 in the 2020 season.
According to an article from Arizona Sports in 2020, Shelton once again showed his Bird Gang pride with a man cave full of various Cardinal’s gear and memorabilia.
We are curious to see if Blake Shelton will be joined by fiance Gwen Stefani to root for the Cardinals for the next few days.
