While enjoying a much-needed weekend from music and TV duties, newlyweds Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were seen visiting the San Diego Zoo with Stefani’s children.

According to TMZ, the couple was hanging out with friends and family while they visited the popular zoo. Stefani dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a white tank top while Blake sported jeans and a black short-sleeved shirt.

Shelton and Stefani announced their engagement in October 2020 and were married at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021.  Prior to becoming a couple, Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale and has three sons from that marriage. Shelton was married to fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert and they didn’t have any children.

Blake Shelton Reflects on His ‘The Voice’ History With Stefani

Prior to saying “I do” to Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton reflected on his The Voice history with her. “People ask me all the time, ‘What’s the great thing that’s happened to you since you’ve been on The Voice? That’s a no-brainer, right? I met my fiancée here,” Shelton stated to Entertainment Tonight

The couple notably met when Stefani joined The Voice as a Coach in the show’s 7th season. After going through their divorces, Stefani returned for The Voice’s 9th season. By then, she and Blake Shelton were an official couple.

“If you had told me back in 1996 that Gwen Stefani was gonna be girlfriend, I would have laughed you out of the room,” Blake Shelton continued. “I would have thought you were crazy.

Blake Shelton further admitted that he was actually super impressed with Stefani when they first met. “Here’s this iconic rock star coming to be a coach on The Voice in a black minivan. I love it when she’s here. She brings a very complicated element of competition for me in particular. But I love that.”

Gwen Stefani Shares Her Thoughts About Blake

Stefani also spoke to Entertainment Tonight earlier this year about falling for Blake Shelton after her marriage with Rossdale came to an end. “What don’t I love about Blake? And what don’t we all love about Blake? He’s just such a good guy. He’s one of the most generous human beings and down to earth.”

The No Doubt lead singer described Blake Shelton as gifted, unique, and talented.  She also considered him her best friend. “I feel so excited that I have someone in my life that now I have a chance at happiness. For a long time to come. It’s just a blessing. The whole thing. It’s a miracle.”

Stefani then shared that it’s not just her and Blake Shelton involved in their relationship. It involves a lot of people. “There’s so many people involved. [My] children and their hearts. Everybody in my family, his family. We all went through a lot together.”

The singer-songwriter goes on to add, “I think in a romantic way when you fall in love, so hard and so unexpectedly and so late in your life, you’re like, ‘I want to marry you, now!’ That’s the first romantic reaction. Like, ‘Let’s get married.’”
