Blake Shelton Loves on ‘Better Half’ Gwen Stefani for Her Birthday

On Sunday (October 3rd), The Voice coach Blake Shelton went onto his social media accounts to share a special tribute to his wife Gwen Stefani on her 52nd birthday.

“Happy birthday to my better half.. my WIFE!!!! I love you @gwenstefani!” Blake Shelton declared in the post, which featured a gorgeous snapshot of Shelton and Stefani during their wedding.

As previously reported, Blake Shelton proposed to Gwen Stefani in October 2020. The couple has been together since 2015. They said “I Do” during an intimate ceremony at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021.

Page Six reported at the time that Blake Shelton actually had a chapel built on his land with every intention of marrying Stefani there. Those who were invited to the small wedding were Stefani’s parents as well as Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. The Voice host and friend of the couple, Carson Daly, officiated the ceremony.

Blake Shelton previously stated while chatting with Seth Meyers that he and Stefani were keeping the event really simple. The guest list also didn’t have a lot of musicians. “It’ll be like my mom and dad. It’s literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though.”

At the time, Stefani said she and Shelton would make the event fun.

Blake Shelton Reveals the Great Thing That Happened to Him Since Joining ‘The Voice’ Was Meeting Gwen Stefani

During a May 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Blake Shelton opened up about his relationship with Gwen Stefani. “People ask me all the time, ‘What’s the greatest thing that’s happened to you since you’ve been on The Voice? That’s a no brainer, right? I met my fiancee here.”

Shelton met Stefani met in 2014 when she first joined the hit singing competition show as a season 7 coach. Shelton even joked that if someone would have told him back in 1996 that Stefani was going to be his girlfriend, he would have laughed them out of the room.

“I would have thought you were crazy. Saying it right now, I almost bust out laughing. That’s how ridiculous it is.”

The country singer then said Stefani was not who he was expecting when she first joined The Voice. “Here’s this iconic rock star coming to be a coach on The Voice in a black minivan,” he declared. “That was cool to me.”

While also saying why he enjoyed Stefani being a coach on The Voice, Blake Shelton said the Sweet Escape songstress brings a “very complicated” element of competition for him in particular. “But I love that. I love the challenge. Just knowing that she’s there and she has my back is pretty cool.”
