Congratulations Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The super couple is now official after marrying over the long, Fourth of July weekend.

The very famous couple tied the knot in a most intimate of ceremonies, confirmed the New York Post’s Page Six. Blake Shelton had a small chapel built on his Oklahoma ranch for the ceremony. And Page Six posted a video of guests walking into the chapel. A drone shot showed the chapel, plus a covered pavilion. There were other tables outside the chapel. It looked like a beautiful day in Oklahoma for a wedding.

Gwen’s parents, Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn were among the guests and musicians seen boarding a bus to take them to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s Oklahoma wedding.

Maybe Blake Shelton can write a country song about his courtship and wedding to Stefani, the pop star. He can call it Love in Middle Age. How about A Second (Or Third) Chance in Oklahoma. Or, how’s this: Giving up my Independence on Independence Day (weekend).

The wedding was a long-time coming and it represented the third marriage for Blake Shelton and a second one for Stefani.

It’s definitely worthy of the Hollywood treatment. The two met when both were coaches on “The Voice,” the NBC singing competition. That was back in 2015 when both were coming off divorces.

Before they met, Blake Shelton filed for divorce from his wife Miranda Lambert, a fellow country music superstore. Later that summer, Stefani and rocker Gavin Rossdale abruptly broke up. The two were married for 13 years and parents to three young boys.

There were big hints that the nuptials would happen this past weekend. After all, word leaked that Blake Shelton and Stefani filed for their Oklahoma marriage license. Based on the law in Oklahoma, once a couple has a license, it’s good for 10 weeks.

Plus, Stefani started wearing a new ring. Fans of the couple assumed they’d already married. But earlier this summer, Blake Shelton said they hadn’t gotten official. The ceremony still was on the calendar, with Stefani handling the details.

“I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great,” said Shelton, the country superstar. “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful… of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.’ I think she’s having a blast doing it. I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it.”

Here’s hoping the wedding and reception were a blast, featuring lots of fireworks.

The two announced their engagement last October. It was a big positive coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic. When Blake Shelton proposed, he gave Stefani a gorgeous engagement ring featuring a diamond of at least six carats and a platinum band. There were some estimates that the diamond might be nine carats.

Meanwhile, the couple did what gushy, musical superstars do — they collaborated to show their love. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got together for Nobody But You and Happy Anywhere. The two also released a country Christmas hit — You Make It Feel Like Christmas.
