While Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been engaged for quite some time, they have yet to tie the knot. However, some fans are a tad unclear on the details of that fact. On The Voice earlier, Shelton joked about some of his fans mixing up his relationship with Gwen Stefani. He posted the short clip to his Instagram account earlier today.

“I was looking on social media,” Blake Shelton joked in the short media clip. “So many comments were like ‘I thought they were already married!'” “Despite the rumors, I wasn’t married to Gwen Stefani, but I will be soon!” he clarified in the caption.

Fans had reason to believe that the two might already be married. They have been an item since the first season they first appeared on The Voice in 2014. However, they did not get engaged until last October. Despite their engagement, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have not decided on a date for their wedding as of yet.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani on their Wedding Date

Despite the setbacks and obstacles, they have faced with the pandemic, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani feel confident about getting married in 2021. They want to have a special day and a fun celebration, however, they don’t want to sacrifice safety just to go ahead and tie the knot. Gwen Stefani spoke about her wedding with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show.

“I just want my parents there at this point. My parents wouldn’t come to Thanksgiving because they’re so scared, so really would rather it not be a COVID situation,” she said. “I would rather not have masks … Even when you cut it down to just family, it’s still too many people for COVID, so we’re going to see what happens in the next few months.”

Blake Shelton, however, shared optimism about having his wedding this year. “I don’t see any reason why sometime this year we can’t get married,” he added. “We just want to be sure that we are able to have the people there that we love and that they can be safe while they’re there.”
