Brad Paisley Is Rescuing Donkeys in His Time Away From Touring

Brad Paisley is rescuing donkeys in his time away from touring, thanks to his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and their Nashville farm.

You read that right. According to Taste of Country, Brad Paisley is now a donkey-rescuer. Or, rather, his wife Kimberley is. During a recent appearance on Ellen, Paisley shares that he and his wife are “running a donkey rescue, I think – we’ve rescued a couple of donkeys.” The singer then sarcastically quips that he’s “been running a donkey rescue ever since I hired a band – but this is kinda a different level of it.”

What kind of gent refers to his band as donkeys? The same kind that names a rescued donkey “Ben Ass-fleck”, of course. Crudely-clever names aside, fans who follow both Brad and Kimberley on social media have seen several adorable glimpses of the Paisleys with their rescue donkeys. Kimberley, in particular, seems to be very fond of the adorable fuzzballs.

Though Kimberly’s captions may tell just which member of the couple came up with “Ben Ass-fleck”…

And with concerts still a no-no due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Paisley says it has “been an amazing thing to be home on the farm like this right now with these animals. It’s different. I know everybody’s finding new ways to do things around the house that they never thought they would.”

For Brad and Kimberly Paisley – that different – is donkeys.

The famous couple plans to continue rescuing and fostering donkeys so long as they’ve got the land to support it. And with word spreading that they’ve taken in a few adorable asses, something tells us a few more furry friends will be showing up at their doorstep in Nashville, Tennessee
