2021 has been a good year for country music as a whole. New and seasoned artists alike have dropped a stack of great albums. Additionally, live shows are back after what seemed like an eternity without them. As a result, most of the best in the business are out on the road giving fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for. However, it’s safe to say that this has been Carly Pearce’s year.

Dolly invited her to join the Grand Ole Opry. Then, Trisha Yearwood inducted her into the family. Last week, she took home what will surely be the first of many CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Awards. In short, she’s on fire and shows no sign of slowing down.

Now, Carly Pearce will host this year’s CMA Country Christmas. Another up-and-coming country star, Gabby Barrett will join her. They’re both beyond excited to be hosting the event. Both Barrett and Pearce took to social media to share their excitement.

Earlier this month, Carly Pearce tweeted that she was “SO thrilled” to host the annual holiday event alongside Gabby Barrett.

Yesterday, Gabby Barrett shared a similar message on her Instagram feed.  In that post, Barrett said, “SO excited to be hosting CMA Country Christmas w/ ma girl Carly Pearce. It’s my FAVORITE time of the year.”

The Country Music Association knows how to celebrate Christmas right. Not only did they tap two incredible artists to host this year’s show, but they also picked the perfect date. The event takes place on November 29th, the Monday after Thanksgiving. So, it’s just in time to push away the post-leftover fog and get you ready for the Christmas season. Be sure to tune in to your local ABC station at 8/7c and get your holiday season started right.

Christmas Music from Carly Pearce and Gabby Barrett

If you’re already adding Christmas music to your playlists, you’re in luck. Gabby Barrett and Carly Pearce both have some top-shelf holiday tunes. For instance, check out this video of Barrett singing a gorgeous rendition of “The First Noel” at last year’s CMA Country Christmas.

Carly Pearce allowed her fans to get an early start on the Christmas season this year. She dropped her version of the emotional Christmas classic “Mary, Did You Know?” back in October. This is one of those songs that is beautiful no matter who sings it. However, Carly’s voice and delivery truly elevate this one to a new level. Even if you’re one of those people who doesn’t listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, this rendition of the classic is worth listening to right now.
