On Monday (August 30th) country superstar Carly Pearce took to her social media account to share some snapshots of her honoring her sister on stage just before she left for her National Guard deployment.
In the post, Carly Pearce shared, “Last night was such a special night for my family. I surprised my sister & brought her up on stage, asking the crowd for their prayers as she heads to Kuwait this weekend to serve as a Captain in the National Guard.”
Carly Pearce described the moment as beautiful and wrote her sister is someone she admires and loves so much. The duo also gave a moment of silence for the 13 U.S. military personnel who was killed in the Kabul Airport attack last week. “[We] cheered for all of the men & women who have served that were in the crowd.”
Carly Pearce Reveals What Jobs She Had Prior to Becoming a Singer
During a recent interview with CMT, Carly Pearce shared details about what she did for a living prior to becoming a well-known country singer. She revealed she cleaned Airbnbs. “I had to make ends meet,” the Happy Now songstress stated. “I had to pay rent and I had to get food for my cat.”
Carly Pearce also admitted that she had a record deal, then lost it. And for a couple of years didn’t have a job. “I moved here with a high school diploma that I got in the mail because I homeschooled. I cleaned Airbnbs in Nashville for years and people are NASTY! Gross!”
While getting into more details about her cleaning job, Carly said she would have to clean massive homes for bachelor and bachelorette parties and I would have to bake cookies for them. “I did all kinds of things! I think that the most memorable is just how disgusting people are. It forever changed my thought on how I leave a hotel room or Airbnb.”
Pearce goes on to add that the things she saw may have scared her. “I am just telling you, people are nasty. They don’t care!”
Obviously, Carly Pearce ditched her Airbnb gig to become a hit country singer. She first released her single Every Little Thing 2017, which helped secure a major label recording contract. It also hit the top five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
Carly Pearce is now on tour and will be making her next stop at the Ovation Music Pavilion in Newport, Kentucky on September 2nd. She is set to complete her tour on October 10th at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire.
