Carrie Underwood Gives Jay Cutler Shout Out for Preparing Thanksgiving Turkey

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler can make a mean turkey apparently. Carrie Underwood praised his cooking skills after Cutler spent Thanksgiving with her and her family.

In a video posted to Instagram, Underwood revealed a Thanksgiving feast that included turkey, casseroles, corn, and cranberry sauce among others. “Hungry Eyes” by Eric Carmen played over the video. The Underwoods had a smaller Thanksgiving together, Culter not excluded.

Underwood wrote, “Couldn’t be with the fam this year, but we feasted nonetheless! I worked hard and our bellies are stuffed! Shoutout to @ifjayhadinstagram for the turkey, which I did not try (I’m a Tofurky kind of girl). But was told it was delicious! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!”

Both Underwood and Culter are neighbors and have been friends for several years. Previously, Cutler revealed he was with Underwood and Mike Fisher for the holiday. He shared a similar video to Underwood’s and commented about watching a turkey cook.

He wrote, “We had it all. And when I say we, I mean @carrieunderwood and @mfisher1212. I watched a large turkey cook in a vat of oil. Carrie and Mike had enough for 20 people. Hope everyone had a great Turkey day.”

This seems to have been a change of plans regarding Cutler and ex-wife Kristin Cavallari. The two were married for a decade and share three children together. Previously, Cavallari told Us Weekly the family was going to be together for Thanksgiving.

“I know that the kids are our No. 1 priority. So, spending the first Thanksgiving together [after our split] is important because it’s what’s best for the kids and we’re able to do that,” she said. “We’re in a solid enough place that we’re able to do that, and I’m really thankful for that.”
