Like millions and millions of other people in the United States, country music superstar Carrie Underwood has recently celebrated her father and the father of her children. For her fans who are not already aware, the name of the singer’s father is Steve Underwood.
Carrie celebrated him and the other father in her life with a social media post she shared on Instagram on Father’s Day (June 20, 2021).
“I am beyond blessed to have two amazing fathers in my life,” Carrie Underwood posted. “My own, of course, and the father of my boys. And today, I thank my perfect Father in heaven for them both! I love you, Dad and @mfisher1212! And #HappyFathersDay to all the dads out there! #blessed.”
Carrie Underwood’s Father Worked In a Paper Mill
According to WideOpenCountry.com, Carrie Underwood’s father worked in a paper mill while his children were growing up. Carrie’s mother was a teacher in an elementary school during this time. She has two older sisters. Their names are Shanna and Stephanie.
The popular singer’s husband, who is also the father of her sons, is Mike Fisher. He was once a professional hockey player.
Carrie Underwood reportedly met her future husband Mike Fisher during 2008. The popular couple got engaged during December 2019. Their wedding took place during July 2010.
Underwood and Fisher share two children together. Both of those children are boys. The first was born in 2015. This child’s name is Isaiah Michael Fisher. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher welcomed their second child in 2019. They named this second child Jacob Bryan Fisher.
Based on what Carrie Underwood shared via social media, she and her husband Mike share a special bond.
“We’ve been together, and some couples kind of get stronger, and you see some go the other way,” Underwood once quoted her husband. “And so, like, we were really good at being together all day, every day.”
While the COVID-19 pandemic was challenging for so many people, Carrie Underwood did find something positive about the lockdowns that were put in place as part of the safety precautions.
“There was just a lot of heaviness of the past year. But there were also a lot of silver linings and I got to sit in one place and watch my boys grow up,” the singer said.

Underwood and family spent a lot of time together during the last year. She also shared details about that experience.
“Just getting to wake up every morning and see them, and put them to bed every night,” Underwood said. “My husband was like, “How many dinners have we sat at this table?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, there’s 52 weeks in a year, seven days a week.’ I was like, ‘You can do the math!'”
