Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Sweet Quarantine Moment with Husband Mike Fisher

The power couple is back once again with more relationship goals to make you wonder where you can find a dreamy Mike Fisher for yourself.

We get it. Quarantine was a hard time for everyone. Being trapped in a house for months on end with only a few family members will make anyone go nuts. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, however, only got closer during the time together.

This year marks ten years of marriage for the country music star and former NHL player. With two little boys, 5-year-old Isaiah, as well as 1-year-old Jacob, the family pretty much has it all.

Underwood spoke to Yahoo Entertainment about one night during quarantine that Fisher reaffirmed his love for her.

Kind Words from Husband Mike Fisher

“He kind of summed it up one night,” Underwood recalls. “We were a couple months in and had been very much in quarantine just with each other for a while. He said, ‘You know what? I like you.’ I was like: ‘What does that mean? You like me?’ He was like, ‘I know I love you — we’ve been married ten years this year and have two kids together, but this experience has shown me I like you, too.”

*Swoon*

The 37-year-old artist responded to her husband’s reassuring words with a simple, “I like you, too.” In addition, she says that it was “such a nice moment.”

Goodness, I think we might love (…or do I mean like?) you, Mike. Yeah, you too, Carrie.

Underwood did, however, admit the quarantine wasn’t all flowers and chocolates.

She also describes the time as not being “without its challenges. Everybody has had their challenges. We’re not meant to be all together, all day, every day. At no other time in history has it been like this.”

She continues, saying, “There’s always been somebody working, somebody taking care of the kids, the kids going to school… No time in our humanness have we just all been together all day, every day. But it has been nice and refreshing knowing: OK, we’re solid. We like each other. We love each other. We can do this. We can work together even through the craziest of times.”

Moral of the story: We like Mike.
