Carrie Underwood is celebrating her 2-year-old son’s birthday today with the sweetest message alongside a poignant throwback photo.
For followers, being able to watch Carrie Underwood & husband Mike Fisher’s boys grow up has been an absolute pleasure. This gorgeous family radiates kindness and love – two things we all need more of moving forward.
As such, country music fans the world over were thrilled when Carrie & Mike announced they would be having a second child in 2018. Underwood herself felt “immensely blessed,” too, after the tragic miscarriages she had suffered prior.
After announcing at the CMA Awards that their second child would be a boy, the world met Carrie Underwood’s “miracle” baby Jacob Bryan on January 21, 2019.
Now, two years later, the country icon is celebrating his 2nd birthday in the sweetest way. Taking to Instagram, Underwood is sharing a heartfelt messaged penned just for little Jacob, alongside a once-private photo of her second son upon his birth.
Carrie Underwood “Longed” and “Prayed” for Second Son, Jacob
“Jacob, we longed for you. We prayed for you,” Underwood begins in her son’s birthday message. “We walked a long, hard road in order to one day hold you.”
Today you are two. You are silly and strong – You love to play and sing and follow your big brother around,” she continues beautifully. “You are loved – You are cherished – You are an incredible blessing from God. Happy birthday, sweet boy! ❤️”
“We are so blessed,” she says. “And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. He’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about?”
Regardless, a healthy baby is always something to be tremendously thankful for. And Carrie Underwood & husband Mike are beyond so for little Jacob. Their first son, Isaiah, is, too. Those who follow Underwood on social media regularly see sweet glimpses into their lives. Chief among them is Isaiah, who is now 4-years-old, being unbelievably sweet to his mother and little brother.
