Certainly, Carrie Underwood has taken the country music world by storm over the last 16 years. Since winning season four of American Idol in 2005, Underwood has released eight studio albums and 29 singles, and she’s won several music awards. But put aside all of Carrie’s Female Vocal Performance Grammy Awards because Carrie Underwood has an even more noteworthy secret talent. During an interview, Carrie shared that there’s more to her vocal talents than most fans know.
“I actually am pretty good with voice impressions or having silly character voices. When I read to my kids, I definitely get into character. I’m kind of surprised that I haven’t read for some sort of cartoon animal at some point. Maybe in the future, I will be some sort of silly animal.”
So, what animal would Carrie voice if she could choose her future cartoon character?
“I feel like a lot of people would expect me to be like, ‘dogs.’ We have three dogs. But we have two cows and I grew up with cows,” said Carrie. “And when we got one, every once in a while, who for whatever reason needed to be bottle-fed. Oh, it was the sweetest thing, bottle-feeding a little calf. There’s just something about them. I love cows…So, if cows are my favorite animal, I should be Carrie the Cow.”

Speaking of hidden talents, Carrie Underwood also has her own line of activewear. Well, that’s probably not a secret talent since the line is widely available to people all over the world. Carrie partnered with Dick’s Sporting Goods to launch CALIA in 2015. Since then, the brand expanded the line to include lifestyle, swimwear, and accessories to the collection. Additionally, Carrie took extra steps to ensure that her brand is inclusive by offering sizes from XS to 3X. CALIA has quickly become Dick’s Sporting Goods‘ second most popular women’s brand.
As the lead designer for the brand, Carrie said that she knows what women are looking for in clothing. And we could not agree more with this design decision she talked about in an interview in 2020.
“When we have our design meetings, I’m like, ‘Where are the pockets? Where can I put my phone?’” said Carrie.
Carrie added that she believes CALIA does so well because her fans trust her. And they trust her because she truly is passionate about the clothing she designs.
“I feel this is a space I know and am comfortable with and can contribute to,” said Carrie. “And through all of this, it feels like people trust me because it’s a space I’m passionate about.”
