With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what kind of food is going to fill that table this year. For country artist Carrie Underwood, she’s letting the cookbook “The Well Plated Cookbook” take the wheel for extra inspiration.
The singer posted a photo of the cover on her Instagram story on Monday.
“The Well Plated Cookbook” by Erin Clarke features 320 pages of comfort classics that are slimmed down.
“I spent more than three years perfecting these recipes, and they are the best recipes I’ve ever created. I took the utmost care to make this cookbook as useful (and delicious!) as possible. This cookbook is essential for everyday cooking. The recipes are fast, budget-friendly, and clever. They’re designed to help you get a healthy meal on the table any day of the week,” Clarke wrote on the books’ official website.
Underwood, Singer and Food Lover
Underwood is a food lover herself. She has had several cookbooks where she has shared her favorite everyday recipes. Her newest cookbook is “Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life.”
On the TODAY Show in March, Underwood shared the recipe for her “ugly” slow-cooker lasagna and a healthier version of chocolate ice cream.
She called herself a “practical vegan” back in 2013. Underwood has been a vegetarian for over a decade. At home, she strives to be vegan. However, if something has a sprinkle of cheese she’s not going to make a fuss about it.
Underwood also recently appeared on the “Rachael Ray Show” where she cooked a vegetarian quiche alongside Ray.
According to Taste of Country, there is one food she won’t cook at home for her husband, Mike Fisher.
“I’m not a good meat cooker because I’m not a meat-eater, so I will do all the veggies and all the sides. And if he wants meat, he ‘gon have to make that himself,” Underwood said on the show.
Beyond just cooking up a little holiday cheer, Underwood is also singing about it.
Her most recent album is a collection of holiday songs titled “My Gift.”
