Carrie Underwood Selected Ryman Auditorium for Upcoming Gospel Live-Stream Because ‘It Feels Like a Church’

Carrie Underwood specifically chose the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for this one specific reason.

Carrie Underwood recently announced that she’ll be joining her fans for Easter dinner. Okay, so she won’t actually be visiting any of them in person, but she is hosting a virtual Easter concert. And the concert is free so anyone can join her for the virtual performance. Underwood recently released her new gospel album, My Savior. The album arrives just in time for fans to add it to their Easter dinner playlist. Underwood will be performing songs from the album during her virtual concert.

Fans Can Feel Like They’re Watching the Performance at Church

The best part is, Carrie Underwood isn’t broadcasting the concert from her living room, like so many of the virtual concerts celebrities have offered this past year. Don’t get us wrong, we’ve been so grateful for any live music our favorite musicians have gifted us this past year. That said, it would be nice to watch a performance from a venue that actually looks like a music venue. Apparently, Carrie Underwood had the same idea because she will be performing from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for the virtual concert. During an interview, Underwood shared why she chose the Ryman.

“It was all about wanting to bring these songs to life again, and obviously now I wanted to do something on stage,” said Underwood. “The Ryman is so inspirational, it feels like a church.”

What a perfect setting for an Easter day live-stream! Fans can tune into the live concert via Carrie Underwood’s Facebook page on Sunday, April 4th at 11 am EST. But if you have big Easter brunch plans, don’t worry. The concert will be available on Facebook for two days after Easter. Additionally, if the performance inspires you, you can donate to the Save the Children organization during the live stream. Donations will be accepted for 48 hours after the concert as well.

Carrie Underwood Says That There as a Silver Lining in Her Quarantine

Over the past year, the entire world has learned to navigate the emotional ups and downs of being stuck at home indefinitely. With all the things we’ve lost or were put on hold, it’s easy to focus on the negatives of the past year. But that’s not Carrie Underwood’s style. Yes, she recognizes that her entire career is based on live performances, but she’s choosing to look at what’s she gained over the past year instead. During an interview, Underwood shared her thoughts on the silver linings during her time at home.

“Being home has been such a blessing,” said Underwood. “Watching my boys grow, spending time cooking, spending time in the garden. I do feel people who try their hardest to look at the silver linings in life have probably learned so much from this time.”

She added that this past year has given her time to reflect on the things that matter most to her.

“To have every single day and every single dinner together, that really is special,” said Underwood. “As crazy as things were, just having time to think about what matters most in life is a blessing and we should enjoy that.”

In conclusion, take some time to show your family some love on Easter and join Carrie Underwood for her virtual concert.
