On Wednesday, country superstar Carrie Underwood took to her Twitter account to give a shout-out to North Carolina’s little league softball team for becoming World Series champions.

“Congratulations, ladies!!! Way to go! Hope you’re all feeling proud of all your hard work!” #Champions,” Carrie Underwood states with a re-tweet of the big news.

Unfortunately, Carrie Underwood is currently under fire for liking a post showing a speaker at a Nashville School Board meeting addressing the need for masks at schools. As previously reported, the speaker, Matt Walsh, stated to the school board that he considers mask mandates are both “cruel and indefensible” for children who are attending the school district.

The Before He Cheats songstress’ followers began to take notice of the “like” and Walsh immediately jumped on the opportunity to stand up for her by tweeting. “Carrie Underwood liked my video and now the mob is coming for her. She should know better than to like something that they don’t like. This is an unforgivable sin.”

Underwood has yet to respond to the criticism, but Walsh has continued to tweet about the like. “Like anyone else, I am upset and disturbed that Carrie Underwood liked one of my tweets. She should know better than to indirectly endorse the opinions of an extremist and scoundrel such as myself. Her lack of judgment is appalling. I demand that she renounce me and apologize.”

Carrie Underwood Prepares For Upcoming Las Vegas Residency

In a May 2021 interview with Today, Carrie Underwood discussed her upcoming Las Vegas Residency. “It’s called ‘Reflection’ because I’ve been blessed to be a part of an incredible music journey and lots of incredible moments on stage. We kind of want to bring all the best of the best of Vegas and have some fun.”

When asked if she was collaborating with anyone for the residency, Underwood stated, “You never know. Somebody could crash my set! The more, the merrier.”

Carrie also shared her thoughts about the residency in a post on her website, “Touring is one of my favorite things I get to do as a performer and we’ve all really been missing that. I love being on the road and coming to the fans where they live. But it will also be fun to get to do multiple shows in one place where people will be able to come to get that concert experience and have some fun in Las Vegas at the same time.”

Underwood goes on to add that it’s a special honor to be one of the first artists to perform in the brand new state-of-the-art theatre in Resorts World Las Vegas. Tickets are already on sale and Underwood revealed she will be donating $1 of each ticket to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The residency is set to kick off on December 1st.
