Carrie Underwood Shows Love to Rock Band Greta Van Fleet: ‘I’m With the Band’

At most music venues, country singer Carrie Underwood is the one up on stage, singing her heart out. But last night, she decided to kick it in the audience at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Nashville.

Underwood stopped in to see the young rock band, Greta Van Fleet. This was Greta Van Fleet’s first in-person show in almost two years, and it seems like they absolutely killed it. Underwood shared her love for the group on her Instagram page, featuring behind-the-scenes pics of her with the band.

“[Love] these guys! Can’t wait to see all they’re going to accomplish! Such a great show!!! And the @firstbankamp is suuuuuper awesome! @gretavanfleet #ImWithTheBand,” Carrie Underwood captioned the post.

The amphitheater looked packed in Underwood’s video of the event, the audience pumping their fist along with Greta Van Fleet’s frontman, Josh Kiszka. In an interview with Nashville Scene, bassist-keyboardist Sam Kiszka said the band was ready to be back on tour.

“People are going to be insane to get live music back,” Sam Kiszka said. “I’m excited, all the guys are excited. We’ve been rehearsing and putting the setlist together, and it feels like a show.”

We’re not sure if Carrie Underwood will catch Greta Van Fleet’s second show at FirstBank Amphitheater tonight. But it definitely looks like she and her husband, Mike Fisher, really enjoyed last night’s performance.

Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean Team Up For Country Duet

Though Carrie Underwood might enjoy watching rock concerts, we all know that country is where her heart’s at. And this week, she teamed up with fellow country legend Jason Aldean to release a new duet called, “If I Didn’t Love You.”

The hit single already has almost 6.7 million streams on Spotify, and last week it debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart. When talking to iHeart Country, Aldean said it’s not quite a love song.

“[‘If I Didn’t Love You‘ is] a song about getting over a relationship and sort of knowing what you need to do in your head, but it’s really kind of hard to do that in the heart,” Jason Aldean said. “It’s one of those love song, breakup song kind of things.”

When he was approached with the song, Aldean immediately thought of Carrie Underwood joining him for the duet. The single will be featured on Aldean’s upcoming album, “Back in the Saddle.” His tour starts tonight, in Wantagh, New York.

“We were pretty close to finishing up this album, but this song came in and we knew we had to record it,” Aldean said in a news release. “I went ahead and put my vocals down while we asked Carrie in the meantime. Luckily she loved the song and it was kind of like a rocket from there. She did her thing like only Carrie can…and I don’t know how, but she made it sound even better than what we expected. It’s a really special song to start this album.”
