So what if it’s late August. Carrie Underwood wants you to start thinking about Christmas.

Check that, the country superstar believes it’s never to early to sing Christmas carols, or at least, think about listening to them.

That’s why Carrie Underwood posted a video clip on Twitter, Friday. She was teasing a new edition of her Christmas album, My Gift.

“Hey everyone, it’s Carrie. And I’m so excited to share the special edition of my Christmas album, My Gift, with all of you all.”

“Chrismas is my favorite time of year,” Carrie Underwood said. “And I’m so excited to spread the cheer a bit early with all of you.”

Underwood wants you to circle this date on your calendar — Sept. 24. That’s when you can start ordering My Gift.

Carrie Underwood Released My Gift Last September

If you’re a Carrie Underwood super fan, you absolutely know that My Gift is her first-ever Christmas album. She released it last September. Underwood sang the traditional, like O Come, All Ye Faithful. She also paired with oldest son Isaiah for the Little Drummer Boy. There were eight traditional carols and three original ones. One of the originals was her duet with John Legend on Hallelujah.

And Carrie Underwood then turned her first Christmas album into a holiday special on HBO.

The 2021 special edition will add three new tracks. One is aptly-titled Favorite Time of Year. She sang that one in her HBO special. There also is a mashup of two more songs from the HBO show– Let There Be Peace and Something in the Water.

The album also will feature a new cut of All is Well, which was written by Michael W. Smith and Wayne Kilpatrick. Smith released the song in 1989 and he and Underwood sang it for his holiday album in 2014.

No doubt, the album will be well worth it. Billboard named it the best Christian album earlier this year.

Country Superstar Knows It’s Never Too Early for Football

If it’s too hot to think about Christmas, Carrie Underwood is plenty busy right now.

We know it’s never too early to talk about football season or sing Waiting All Day For Sunday Night. Earlier this week, Underwood teased her new promo for NBC’s Sunday Night Football. You can check it out, Sept. 12, when NBC kicks off the season with the Chicago Bears taking on the Los Angeles Rams.

Underwood tweeted: “Here we go — year 9 with @SNFonNBC and I think we’ve created the best opener yet! We’ve got some pretty awesome technology for this one and I can’t wait for you all to see it on September 12 on @nbc and @peacockTV,” she tweeted.

While Christmas is the favorite time of year for Carrie Underwood, she also likes the day she records the new football promo.

“Shooting the new show open for Sunday Night Football is one of the highlights of my year,” Carrie Underwood said.  “I just love the fact that we get to reinvent it every year. The team behind these shoots is incredible and it’s always a really fun day, especially this year getting to work with such amazing state-of-the-art technology.”
