After a hectic Christmas morning in Nashville, Carrie Underwood offered her gratitude and wished her fans a Merry Christmas.

The legendary country singer took to Twitter to offer the message, which came later in the afternoon after an explosion in her current residence of Nashville, Tennessee.

“Merry Christmas everyone!” Underwood wrote. “And a huge thank you to all the brave first responders in Nashville this morning.”

It’s a simple but classic message from Underwood, although there wasn’t much positive about the explosion in Nashville. That being said, Underwood hits the nail on the head with her thanks for the first-responders.

Nashville Explosion

At around 6:30 a.m. on Christmas, a large explosion went off near Second Avenue and Broadway, a major commercial area in downtown Nashville.

Police reported that the explosion was “intentional” rather than an accident. According to police, three people sustained injuries and a variety of agencies are looking into the issue.

Here is the official statement from the Metro Nashville Police:

“An explosion linked to a vehicle occurred at 6:30 this morning outside 166 2nd Ave N downtown. Investigation active by MNPD & federal partners.”

It’s clearly a scary and heinous act, but considering how recently the explosion happened, the amount of information about the explosion is still limited.

Carrie Underwood Celebrates Christmas Pajama Season

With a new album, TV special and a plethora of media appearances over this holiday season, it’s clear that Christmas is a big deal for Underwood. But it’s not just about getting to work that Underwood loves, it’s the whole shebang.

Underwood and husband Mike Fisher posed in their Christmas PJs with the singer captioning the post, “Christmas PJs and chill.”

While 2020 has offered up plenty of opportunity to chill, there’s still something special about getting into the specific coziness of the holiday season. If anyone knows that, it’s certainly Underwood and Fisher.
