The CMA Awards return Nov. 11 with hosts Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker. It’s one of the biggest nights in country music and has featured a number of amazing performances. And many of them belong to Carrie Underwood.

Whether she was hosting with Brad Paisley or just showing up to blow the roof off and leave, Underwood doesn’t disappoint at the CMAs. So, after considering all of her performances at the awards ceremony, here are the three we think are her biggest standout moments.

Carrie Underwood, Meet the CMA Awards

Shortly after her 2004 breakout showing on American Idol, Underwood released what would become one of her biggest singles ever, “Jesus Take The Wheel.” And while the song was doing well on the country charts, Carrie Underwood would need to stick the landing and perform it well in front of the entire country music industry.

“I was horrified!” Underwood said, according to Taste of Country, about the 2005 performance. “Horrified is the wrong word — umm … nervous? But it doesn’t seem like there’s enough weight on the word nervous, though. There was just a lot of emotions and I was like, ‘What if they never ask me to come back here ever again? This could be my one and only shot to perform on the CMAs.'”

She blew the room away. She would go on to win Female Vocalist of the Year the following year.

Her next performance features one of her closest performing partners.
