Cassadee Pope Says ‘Our House Shook’ During Nashville Explosion on Christmas Morning

Singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope is speaking out about the Nashville explosion on Christmas morning. According to the 31-year-old “Wasting All These Tears” singer, she felt the blast at her home.

“Our house shook here in Nashville,” Cassadee Pope tweeted. “Following the info on socials and the news but just praying nobody was hurt. Seems like it was an explosion of some sort downtown. F—ing 2020.”

The explosion reportedly occurred around 6:30 a.m. earlier on Friday morning. The authorities linked the blast to an RV parked near Second Avenue and Commerce Street in downtown.

Nashville Mayor John Cooper released a statement regarding the explosion on Friday morning.

“At 6:32 Christmas morning, [Metro Nashville PD] and [Nashville Fire Department] responded to the scene of an explosion on 2nd Ave, approximately one block north of Broadway. Metro Police confirm the source of the explosion came from a vehicle. The cause of the explosion is under investigation with help from federal authorities. MNPD will share updates as they become available and is restricting downtown traffic. Be safe Nashville. Thank you to our emergency personnel for your quick response.”

Country Music Star Carly Pearce Comments on the Nashville Explosion

In addition to Cassadee Pope, country music star Carly Pearce also took to social media to share her reaction. The “I Hope You’re Happy Now” singer says she’s been watching videos and footage of the blast.

“Sending all my love to Nashville this morning,” she tweeted. “These videos are absolutely terrifying. Such a horrific act, especially on Christmas morning.”

According to reports, three people sustained injuries in the explosion. Also, the explosion resulted in the destruction of a number of buildings and trees surrounding the area.

Initially, the police did not suspect foul play. However, as the investigation into the issue continued, Tennessean reports that authorities now believe it was “intentional.” The investigators linked the explosion to an RV parked outside the Melting Pot.
