On Tuesday (September 14th) country superstar Chase Rice shared some snapshots on his social media accounts of the fish he caught while in Wyoming.
“Have a day kid… Sorry @thomasrhettakins, I caught em all,” Chase Rice captioned the post.
The post comes in the middle of Chase Rice’s tour. The country singer announced last month that he was excited to finally get back on tour after nearly 18 months.
“This thing’s over,” Chase Rice proclaimed during a recent interview. “If you don’t think so, move on. It’s over. We’re going back to normal life, and if you don’t want to do that, stay home. We’re partying. Country music’s back. Music’s back. Live events are back. And I couldn’t be happier.”
Rice previously spoke in June 2020 about the health crisis and how it had kept him and other musicians from touring. “They gotta let us go play and the people that are healthy can decide if they want to come or not. That’s what the American Constitution is all about. Is us having the choice.”
Rice’s next performance will be at the Fortinet Championship in Napa, California. Other stops on his tour include the Sherman Theatre in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; the 7 Clan Casino and Hotel in Newkirk, Oklahoma; and the iHeart Country Festival in Austin, Texas. His last show will be at the House of Blue in Boston, Massachusetts.
Chase Rice Shares Details About His New Album ‘The Album’
During a May 2021 interview with Music Row, Chase Rice shared more details about his 3-parter album The Album. “I wanted each song to have its time,” the country singer explained. “I wanted to release less music, but more often. That’s why I was going to do Part 1 through 4. But Part 4 got detailed because of COVID.”
Chase Rice revealed that he had a group of older songs that didn’t have a place quite yet. “‘Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.’ Was on its own. ‘If I Didn’t Have You’ was three or four years old. But I always wanted to put it out. ‘The Nights’ was one I knew I wanted to finish up what was Part 4 or now, Part 3 with. And Bedroom was written during the middle of COVID.”
While also explaining the songwriting process for The Album, Chase Rice stated, “[It was] completely different [than what I’m used to]. The beginning of Part 1 and Part 2 was showing up at 11 a.m. writing with people, and being done by 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. That was the traditional way of writing songs for me for the last eight years.”
However, Chase Rice said Part 3 came along and completely said no to all of that approach. “‘The Nights’ was the only song that was written in the normal way. But it’s two or three years old. And I knew the day I wrote that song that I wanted that in the final piece.”
