Chris Janson Set To Perform Pre-Race Concert as NASCAR Cup Series Returns to Nashville Superspeedway

On June 20, country music star Chris Janson will kick off the inaugural weekend with a pre-race concert! It’s been nearly 40 years since the Nashville Superspeedway hosted a NASCAR Cup Series race. Also, the venue quickly sold out tickets to eager fans for the 2021 event.

The 35-year-old singer/songwriter has three full-length albums, including “Buy Me a Boat,” “Everybody,” and “Real Friends.” In addition to several hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, Janson has also co-written songs for big-time names such as Tim McGraw, LoCash, and Randy Houser.

Who would want to miss live country music and competitive racing?

Janson will be performing on a stage near the start-finish line. The live concert is scheduled for after the morning qualifying session and just before the “Ally 400” race at 2:30 p.m.

In a statement release, the Grand Ole Opry member expressed his excitement for the big event. He’s “super thrilled to be performing at the NASCAR Cup Series pre-race concert Nashville Superspeedway. I’m pumped to have NASCAR back in Nashville for the first time in 10 years with a SOLD-OUT crowd. I can’t think of a better combination than racing fans & country music fans,” Chris Janson said. “It will be a glorious day!”

According to Fox17 News, the Ally 400 race has been sold out but tickets are still available for the first two races of the weekend: the “Tennessee Lottery 250” NASCAR Xfinity Series race on June 19 and the Rackley Roofing 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at NashvilleSuperSpeedway.com.

Chris shares, “he’d like to see, Rancid, because I like punk rock and it’s just an awesome concert to see. Nora Jones because I really enjoyed her first album, and I liked the laid back feel of it, and I honestly love that jazzy kind of thing. Thirdly, probably Jack Johnson cause I really enjoy his music, and just seems like the real deal.”
