COUPLE GOALS! Chris and Morgane Stapleton soaked up some spotlight on Wednesday (October 13th) during the CMT’s 2021 Artist of the Year Awards.

The duo was seen on the red carpet smiling cheek to cheek and enjoying a few laughs. CMT managed to capture an adorable snapshot of the Stapletons.

Margaret Comeaux, Vice President, Production at CMT, previously spoke about honoring the 2021 Artist of the Year recipients. “We are honored to recognize these five incredible artists who have entertained and inspired millions through their music this past year. We look forward to returning to the Schermerhorn with a live show. As we celebrate the accomplishments of Chris, Kane, Kelsea, Gabby and Luke.”

According to CMT, the recipients of the 2021 Artist of the Year awards are five artists who collectively dominated over the past year in country music. They also led across all CMT platforms; scoring chart-topping albums and singles.

CMT Artist of the Year awards presenters are Connie Britton, Eric Church, Lady A, Garth Brooks, Morgan Evans, and Misty Copeland. Boyz II Men (who paid tribute to Stapleton with an epic performance), Jonas Brothers, Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix, Walker Hayes and Yola also performed along with Barrett, Brown, Ballerini, Combs and Guyton.

CMT also revealed that this year’s ceremony included never-before-seen performances and collaborations; special guests; performers and presenters.

Prior to CMT’s Artist of the Year Awards, Chris Stapleton Teamed Up With Jimmy Fallon to Pay Tribute to Nancy Meyers Films

Just before taking the stage at the CMT 2021 Artist of the Year Awards, Chris Stapleton joined force with late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon. They performed a special tribute for Nancy Meyers films. In the hilarious skit, the CMT Artist of the Year recipient sang, “Big windows; strong women; scarves cashmere; and the pants are linen.”

Stapleton and Fallon declared, “When I need a little heart and I want to be inspired. I get cozy on the couch and watch a film by Nancy Meyers.”

Nancy Meyers apparently enjoyed the hilarious skit. She took to Twitter and wrote, “What a surprise! So sweet and funny! Thank you @JimmyFallon and @ChrisStapleton.”

Along with the skit, Stapleton also performed You Should Probably Leave with Fallon.
