On Wednesday, country superstar Chris Stapleton shared a sweet wedding anniversary post as he celebrated his wife always having his back.

The country singer and Nashville native Morgane Stapleton have been together for years. The pair frequently tour together, but Chris isn’t the only talented member of the Stapleton family. Morgane got her start as a songwriter in the country music capital. She wrote for some huge acts, including Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, and Trisha Yearwood.

In addition, Morgane has performed background vocals for other big artists that aren’t her husband. She’s performed with Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler, and more. The country music power couple met while working together in 2003. Four years later, Morgane tied the knot with Chris Stapleton. And over the years their family has grown quite a bit as they share five children together.

When you’re outnumbered by your kids and have that kind of a large family, you need a strong woman by your side. Or in this case, a woman that always has your back. As the famous couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary today, Stapleton shared a short but sweet message on Instagram for his wife. He posted a black and white photo of the couple. Morgane is seen hugging Chris from behind, which makes his caption all the more appropriate.

“Happy Anniversary to the lady who’s always got my back!” Chris Stapleton captioned his post for his wife.

Morgane responded to her husband in the comment section when she simply added, “Always!!!”

Chris Stapleton Forced To Cancel More Concerts Due To Laryngitis

While Chris Stapleton has plenty to celebrate this week, it sounds like he had a rough time last week. The country artist came down with laryngitis, which forced him to cancel three more shows on his current tour.

Per his doctor’s orders, Stapleton had to reschedule the trio of shows. He was supposed to play Cincinnati’s River Bend Center on Oct. 21. He then had two scheduled concerts at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Oct. 22 and 23, but all three shows have been rescheduled. Last Wednesday, he addressed his fans directly through a heartfelt statement on social media.

“I want to thank you for all your well wishes and kind words you have shared over the last few days. I had hoped to have some good news to share with you all after this quiet time. But unfortunately the progress I’ve made is not enough,” Chris Stapleton explained on Twitter. “On doctor’s orders, I will need to continue my vocal rest through the weekend in order to fully heal. I am sorry that so many of you have been inconvenienced and I’m truly thankful for your patience and understanding.”

“Nothing is more personal to me than the experience of music. I’m eternally grateful for the privilege of sharing in that journey with all of you night after night. Thank you for your continued support and I hope to see you all very soon,” his post concluded.

The pair of Nashville dates are rescheduled for Dec. 10 and 11 respectively. In addition, Stapleton’s Cincinnati concert has been rescheduled to 2022.
