Chris Young took to Twitter this morning to announce his collaboration on a single with Kane Brown, ‘Famous Friends’.
The two hit country artists will combine their beautiful, butter-like voices for the new song that will drop on Friday. They’re a duo so strong that even Batman and Robin would be jealous.
“Okay guys, some of you guessed right. I can announce that my next single is dropping this Friday & is a collab w/ @kanebrown! It’s called “Famous Friends” & I can’t wait for you to hear it! If you listen to The Quad later today, you might hear KB & I chatting about the new song!”
The tweet has excited fans on the edge of their seats, racking in many retweets and comments.
Chris Young Teases Song
Over the last few days, Young has been teasing fans with minor hints on his Instagram page. He first posted a picture of a blank black screen with small white dots.
Later the same day, he posted the same background. However, this time, it featured the words “Chris Young” in a yellow, capitalized font.
Yesterday, he posted the same picture but added “Chris Young +”.
He gave no captions for any of the pictures and left his more than 1.5 million followers hanging. Many caught onto the hint but begged in anticipation for the reveal.
One user commented, “STOP TEASING US 😭😭, “while another said, “Oh, the anticipation. I am not a patient person. 😂”
We have yet to hear from Kane Brown about the collaboration, as he hasn’t posted anything to his Instagram or Twitter accounts.
In the song, Young celebrates his friends from his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
“I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of. But back in Rutherford County, our crowd is second to none. You might not know ’em here in this big city we’re in. But when I go back home, I’ve got some famous friends.”
