‘CMA Country Christmas’: How, When, Where to Watch

Are you ready for the 2020 CMA Country Christmas special? Find out how, when, and where to watch along with all of the details.

Watch CMA Country Christmas

Tune in tonight, Monday (November 30) at 9 PM ET on ABC. This marks the eleventh annual event. This year’s hosts are Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins. Due to COVID-19, there was no live audience.

“The idea for this year’s show was to do a throwback of the great Christmas specials of the 1960s and 1970s,” Executive Producer Robert Deaton said in a press release. “Andy Williams, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra. [They] all had classic Christmas specials where the viewer was invited into the homes of the host to celebrate the holiday like a best friend coming to visit, that’s was what we wanted to create for this year’s show. Instead of a big flashy production, we took a page from those iconic specials.” Their goal is to have viewers relax and celebrate the holidays together.

All About the Performances

Although 2020 has been a terrible year, this year’s performers are the exact opposite. Lady A will be performing “Wonderful Christmastime” and “Little Saint Nick” while Little Big Town will perform “Christmas Time Is Here.”

Tim McGraw will give a performance of “It Wasn’t His Child.” Rhett will perform “Christmas In The Country.” Finally, Darius Rucker will be teaming up with instrumentalist Lindsey Stirling for “What Child Is This.”

Kelsea Ballerini will perform the classic, “Santa Baby.” Meanwhile, Gabby Barrett will sing “The First Noel.” Dan + Shay will give their rendition of “Christmas Isn’t Christmas.” Fellow duo Florida Georgia Line will perform “Lit This Year.”
