CMA Fest may not be happening this year but CMA Summer Jam is on its way!

For the second year in a row, the annual festival has been canceled due to the pandemic. However, this year, fans will still get their country music fix.

The two-night summer concert event will take place at Nashville’s very own Ascend Amphitheater on July 27 and 28. The event will be later broadcasted this summer on ABC as a three-hour primetime special. Each night the doors will open at 7:30 PM CT and the shows will start at 8:30 PM CT.

The CMA lineup is filled with the hottest country artists. Tuesday’s lineup includes Luke Bryan,  Mickey Guyton, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, and Dwight Yoakam.

Wednesday’s event will feature Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, and Thomas Rhett.

That’s not all. Additionally, other performances will be filmed throughout locations in Music City. Those sets will be announced later this month.

Other performances will be filmed downtown. Details about those sets and the television special will be announced in the coming weeks. CMA will be following COVID-19 health and safety restrictions from local, state, and federal authorities. They will also be partnering with VAX4 LIVE to encourage concert-goers to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

How to See Carrie Underwood and More at CMA Summer Jam

CMA Summer Jam tickets will go on sale Wednesday (July 14) at 10 AM CT. Ticket prices begin at $70. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the CMA Foundation. The charity helps save and sustain music programs in school throughout the country. Fans can also purchase an “I Miss Live Music” shirt which directly benefits the foundation.

Fans can only purchase tickets directly through Ticketmaster. Their actual tickets will be delivered via a mobile e-ticket following the purchase.

Parking will be limited. General parking will not be provided at the Ascend Amphitheater. Fans are encouraged to park downtown or take public transit. There will be a designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up location which is located on Korean Veterans Boulevard at the corner of 1st Ave. South.

Each CMA fan will be allowed to bring in a clear bag and small clutch (check website for approved sizes).

Finally, fans can purchase their merchandise ahead of time here or at directly from the venue.

Next year’s CMA Fest will take place on June 9 through 12. They have already begun to start planning for the “most EPIC” return.

They explained in a statement that they could not “Safely return this summer.” While they saw more fans get vaccinated, they still faced “several challenges that prevent us from bringing our fans around the world the CMA Fest experience that they have come to expect.”
