Rising country star Lainey Wilson is celebrating one of her songs playing on the hit series Yellowstone. The Yellowstone Instagram page posted the news a few hours ago. Could this song be better than Dear Rodeo?

In the clip, Lainey Wilson explains how this series reminds her of her family. In fact, when she watches the show it’s like she’s watching her family on television. Then, Lainey and her band do an acoustic performance of Rolling Stone. Check it out below!

“@laineywilsonmusic, whose music is featured on #YellowstoneTV, gives an intimate performance of her song, ‘Rolling Stone,’ brought to you by @officialfritos.”

Additionally, you can catch Lainey holding a bag of Fritos in the clip since that’s the sponsor.

“I grew up around a lot of cowboys. My daddy’s a cowboy and I watched season 1 of Yellowstone and I freaked out. I felt like I was seriously watching my family on TV because I truly just felt this connection right away to the show. First of all, it’s very rare when you see people who just love a show as much as they love Yellowstone. But also the music that goes along with it. So many people just love the soundtrack to Yellowstone. So, when I got the call that I was going to have a song on Yellowstone, I freaked out. I was just so dang excited. It’s been a huge blessing for me and this really is introducing my music to a whole different audience,” she said in the video.

The Story Behind ‘Rolling Stone’ by Lainey Wilson

In an interview from August, Lainey Wilson said that Rolling Stone is about wanting something so bad and not letting anything stand in your way of it.

“Sometime’s that means having to let go of certain things or people in your life,” she said. “In this case, it was a boy I’ve been dating for about seven years, who was my childhood sweetheart. He didn’t know it at the time, but he was holding me back a little bit. So, he had to go and I moved to Nashville to write this song.”

In addition, her experience ended up with a hit song. And that song is now going on an all-new episode of Yellowstone. Thank goodness Lainey said goodbye to the person holding her back because she wouldn’t be where she is today if she didn’t. Now her dreams are taking off and she has so much in store for 2022.
