George Strait doesn’t have the nickname “King of Country” for nothing. He has had an absolutely incredibly successful music career. During his career, he has won numerous awards and recognitions. Back in the 1980s, Strait got his big break, and it jump-started his career, turning him into an immensely popular singer.

Since then, George Strait has been giving his fans and country music fans alike, amazing music. Moreover, his music has been transforming the country music style since he began writing and performing his songs.

However, it was a sad day when George Strait decided to wrap up his touring career. So, he titled his final show appropriately for the moment. His final song is one of his more popular recordings, “The Cowboy Rides Away.”

George Strait’s Emotional Final Performance

Even though he performed this hit a lot over his career, this performance is perhaps the most special. He leaves the touring world while giving his fans one moment in particular that stands out as one of his best. For his fans that have been following him for many years, it is extra special.

During the performance, George Strait begins singing in front of an incredibly excited crowd. As he croons with his patented velvety voice, it illuminates the packed place. As he sings “The Cowboy Rides Away” you can tell just how emotional of a performance the show is for him. However, it isn’t only emotion for him, it is also incredibly moving for the audience. It almost breaks your heart watching him sing live for the last time.

As George Strait finishes the show, he walks to the front of the stage. Once he gets to the very front, he takes a moment to thank his fans during the final moment of the song. Afterward, he makes his way back, out of sight. He leaves his loving fans behind him, desperately longing for more of his incredible music.
