Country Throwback: Luke Bryan Crashes Blake Shelton Show to Sing ‘Dixieland Delight’

Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are quite the duo.

While their sweet country voices go well together, their rowdy, fun, jokester personalities seems to go together even better.

Luke Bryan Crashes Shelton’s Set

In 2018, Luke Bryan held his annual Crash My Playa event in Mexico. The lineup included Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Maren Morris, Brett Young, The Cadillac Three, and Blake Shelton.

While Shelton was on stage performing his set, Bryan surprised Shelton’s fans. He appeared wearing a green flannel, black cowboy hat, and a luscious long wig.

Any fan of Shelton would recognize the imitation of the younger, 2001 Blake Shelton. His debut album cover is enough to tell you exactly what the country superstar used to rock back in the day.

In addition to the outfit, Bryan also held a Smithworks Vodka cup. This is Shelton’s own vodka brand that he co-owns.

The shock wore off over the costume in question eventually. Then, the two sang George Strait’s “All My Exes Live in Texas” and Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight.” The crowd roared and sang along to the classic hits.

Shelton and Bryan Epic Bromance

The two are seemingly pretty good friends. “The Voice” and “American Idol” judges find comfort in giving each other a hard time. Especially on Twitter, where fans can see.

In an interview with “Good Morning America”, the two interviewed each other.

They asked each other anything from favorite foods to least favorite things about each other. The two even call themselves “Bluke” for short.

When Shelton asks Bryan what his favorite thing about him is, Bryan responds, “I need time on that.”

Blake Shelton owns a franchise of restaurants called Ole Red. One of which is in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Luke Bryan opened The Doghouse in Shelton’s hometown restaurant as well.

“I know how special this place is to Blake and something he has wanted to do for a long time. I am honored to come open the doors and kick this off for him,” Bryan said, according to Ole Red.

The two visited Blake’s hometown together where they sipped on Bloody Mary’s, ate tacos, visited Shelton’s mom, and had a cute group hug with a little kissing.
